Mi Reconquista

I have set out to look up

and move forward;

to leave my former self behind

and begin my reconquest.

My conscience, kind and sharp,

knows very well how to guide me,

but when I think of giving up

in my coffee I find solace

and I continue, by the light of the sky,

advancing with a firm step.
