Café El Mañanero (The Early Riser) is a Puerto Rican family company established in 2003 and currently run by Francisco Miró in Indiera Baja, Maricao, a remote location in the western highlands of Puerto Rico. Francisco does it all: cultivates his own coffee plantation, buys coffee from neighboring farmers, dries it, and keeps it in perfect condition for the roast. He roasts coffee weekly and distributes his fresh product personally to local stores, supermarkets, and even old friends. Perfect PR Coffee!

I have had lots of Puerto Rican coffees, and this is one of the best. It’s flavorful, mild and has low acidity. The medium roast is perfect. Others roast their PR coffees too dark for me. Excellent example of PR coffee!
