Café El Mañanero Coffee (The Early Riser) is a Puerto Rican family company established in 2003 and currently run by Francisco Miró in Indiera Baja, Maricao. A remote location in the western highlands of Puerto Rico. Francisco does it all: cultivate his own coffee plantation, buy coffee from his neighbor farmers, dry it and keep it in perfect conditions for the roast. He roasts coffee weekly and distributes his fresh product personally to the local stores, supermarkets and even to some old friends to whom he delivers his product personally. I bought the 10 bag sampler

This is a dark roast which I only use to make espresso to use in cafe con leche. I prefer the medium roasts though. All in all the sampler packages are good deal and a great way to find your favorite for your next purchase. The package arrived in central Florida 3 days after purchase intact. Buen provecho y que viva Puerto Rico siempre!!!
